Our oceans are at risk. By shining a spotlight on the global ocean pollution crisis, and
being the first person ever to run across America on a recycled shoe, Sam hopes to
and encourage others to live more sustainably.
On July 26th, Sam began his Ocean2Ocean run, covering 3,000 miles and 13 U.S. states, from New York to LA, from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean.
Sam’s goal is to engage with as many communities as possible along his route to inspire and encourage people to do more to protect the environment and generate less waste.
Along his journey, Sam will be hosting educational presentations at schools and universities to raise awareness about the importance of plastic pollution and environmental preservation, organizing events such as zero-waste workshops, documentary screenings, city cleanups as well as run-alongs with running clubs and athlete organizations.
